Scott who welcomed me when I entered and Dr. Berman who performed my eye exam, were both amazing! It was the last day of the year and everything was closing early. They were able to squeeze me in, in the afternoon on the 31st when I called shortly before they were going to close--- despite being booked they kindly squeezed me in. Not only that, but they were both wonderful and I would return should I need to see an optometrist or need anything related to eye wear. I was surprised at what a large selection of sunglasses they had as well. It was such an unexpected, lovely experience to come in here. Hoping to find reasons to come back soon!

This is my go to place for glasses for my daughter and I because they are always pleasant and Dr Sohn is the best! Whether your looking for contacts or eyeglasses they make/order them quickly and I always feel at ease. Grand Central Optical is also convenient because they have a location on Madison Ave and one located inside Grand Central Terminal. I recently went and they go above and beyond because of COVID to clean any eye glass you touch, sanitizer is always available and masks are always worn.

I was traveling through NYC and realized I'd left my spare contacts at home. Grand Central Optical could not have been more helpful and courteous. I was able to get my prescription from home and they gave me lenses immediately to tide me over while I traveled through Europe. Don't hesitate to use them!

I lost my glasses right before leaving town. I took a shot and called to see if maybe I could get some made before my flight that night. They got me in for an exam and got my new glasses made in rapid time so I was able to make my flight on time and enjoy actually seeing my vacation. They were very friendly and helpful. I’m super thankful to them. Highly recommend!

EXCELLENT prices, selection, time of service, location, customer service, communication and energy! I am a single mom who is on a serious budget. I live in New Jersey. There is no place that I found that compares to this location. I'm also a black woman and I did not come in there dressing or professional. They received me so well. I felt very welcome and well accommodated. I told them I did not have much money which I did not at that time. They gave me excellent customer service and that is coming from a person who also works and sales customer service and hospitality. I know what I should be receiving and they delivered on all fronts. Also I am comparing their prices to those of establishments in New Jersey including the New Jersey mall outlets. They have a very nice designer line and their designer frames are cheaper then that of New Jersey. Like how do you get midtown Manhattan luxury style more affordable than New Jersey? The only thing is Google does not have their name listed correctly. So I advise you call them before coming because there are a couple of other eyeglass locations nearby and you want to make sure you get to this one

Dr Ann is one of best doctor i have ever met in NYC. She is kind, patient, compassionate and outstanding professional. She checked my eyes so carefully and could detected the problem I was having. Now, I know my eyes will not bother me at all and I will be able to do all my readings. If anyone needs an ophthalmologist, please do not hesitate to see Dr. Ann. I highly recommend her. She is the best!!!!

Im so very grateful for the store. I came to visit New York with only right eye contact lenses packed! I was able to get my left eyes lenses in here! So fast and professional! My lenses is not a common one, so greatful they have them in stock and saved my New York trip!

Great combination of high end glasses selection and incredible customer service and attention. I've bought several pairs of glasses there and the staff has always steered me right when helping me choose. Very easy to get an exam and glasses with zero hassle and amazingly fast.
