I have been a customer of this store since it’s opened to the tune of about 2k per month. I went in there this morning to purchase a thousand dollar rifle and they wouldn’t show it to me without turning over my drivers license. I asked the sales associate behind the counter what was the purpose of that I’ve never had to do that before He then stated people are not trustworthy people like to steal so you do not get to see the gun without your drivers license. I’ve then asked him if he was referring to me. He stated it is what it is. I told him I will never shop at the store ever again. You have lost me as a customer and he replied thats your right. I guess this is how this company treats loyal customers.

Wife has been there twice in the last year and a half, to look at guns. Both times she was there not a single person offered any help. She also works for the state. Funny thing is everytime I have been with her they walk right up to us. Probably take my business down the road to Topguns where they are always so helpful. Shame they would have made a sale today.

Even though they have academy stores in both Illinois and Indiana, as an Illinois resident with valid identification and FOID card, they will NOT sell you any gun in the Terre haute store. They cited it was their store policy to not sell guns to Illinois residents.

Came in looking for an outdoor chaise lounge, asked what area and was told over in that corner area over there. They were not. I asked even they even had what I was looking for and was told "idk haven't been back there today". Thanks for the great customer service. Most stores have handheld ls to look things up for you then tell you exactly where they are if they actually have them

Disappointed, duped and let down. I had noticed the hot deal on kayaks whilst on my way out of town last weekend. It was posted on the kayak catch 100 "$100" off for the sale price of $499.99. Deal posted was running through first couple days of July so I found the time to visit town again for the kayak. I return to the deals being stripped early. The nice employee that helped me look for the cause of the deal vanishing said it was corporate whom mistakenly made the deal last too long. I drove 2 hours to leave empty handed and saddened.

Great store. My first experience at the store was great. The staff was very friendly and promptly helped me my find the right bike and all the accessories I needed for my budget. I highly recommend this place for all you sports and outdoor needs.
