We checked out their little pop up store at the michigan renaissance festival this year and my fiance and I both found amazing boots for our Lord of the Rings themed wedding next year. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the boots are SO comfy! Wearing them was like...a warm hug around your feet. And they said if we take care of them, they should last a lifetime! I had to custom order mine since they didnt have my size in the color I wanted, but there are so many options for customizing. It was awesome and I can't wait for them to arrive 😊 picture is of my fiance's boots.

Ok. Look. Listen. I work at a Renaissance Festival. Seven years ago I bought a pair of boots from an old Rennie who was getting out of the game. He sold me his Son of Sandlar boots second hand, at a discount so shocking that I shan't repeat it here. I only learned later that the boots were Son of Sandlar and I had basically robbed this poor man. Before I got these I went through about one pair of cheap horrible costume boots per season. Then I got the Son of Sandlar boots. I've had them for seven years. I have no clue how long the old man before me wore them at Faire. Today I hit them with some oil and followed up with wax, and it was the FIRST TIME I had EVER done ANY maintenance on these boots, beyond the occasional wipe with a damp cloth to take the dust off. I would just wipe them down when the season was over, throw them in the back of the closet for eight months, then break them back out when the next season rolled around. The neglect was frankly abhorrent. No reasonable pair of leather boots should've been expected to survive it. But this pair of Son of Sandlar boots still basically looks like new. No stiffness, no cracks, nothing. They're perfect. If I wasn't broke I'd buy another pair. I believe they might be magic. Buy a pair of boots from Son of Sandlar. Take out a loan if you need to. Do it. If you're still repaying the loan when you die don't worry about it, your heirs will gladly take up the payments themselves because they'll be so satisfied with the boots you handed down to them.

I'd ask to be buried in these boots but I fear they might attract graverobbers.
