Went in to the store to find a dress for a formal company event that I had coming up. I went to the dress salon section and found 3 dresses I liked. The sales lady there was very nice and started a dressing room for me right away. She even gave me her business card. I settled on two items that I wanted to buy. The sales lady checked me out and asked me if I wanted to save 20% by opening a Bloomingdale’s card. I politely declined. She asked me why and I said I have too many credit cards and I’m not looking to open another one. She then asked me again if I wanted to open the credit card. I said no again. She then turned to my boyfriend and said “well we know one thing about her, she doesn’t like to save money”

I explained to her that it’s not really saving money as another card or inquiry into your credit score can make your credit score decrease which causes you to have to pay higher interest on loans and things so it’s not really saving money in the end.

Her comment was very unnecessary and I felt she was too pushy in trying to get me to get the credit card. I was already spending over $700 on the two items I bought so she was already getting a good commission from that. Don’t understand why she felt the need to pressure me into getting a credit card on top of that.

First off, let me say that the place is so clean and well-maintained. It's always a relief to walk into a store and not have to dodge clutter or worry about messy aisles.
Now, let's talk about the clothing selection - it's seriously impressive. They've got a great range of styles to choose from, and I found some pieces that I absolutely fell in love with. Whether you're into classic looks or something a bit more trendy, they've got you covered.
But what really sealed the deal for me was the chic atmosphere. The store has this stylish vibe that makes shopping there a real treat. It's not just about the clothes; it's about the whole experience. And the best part? Despite being so chic, it's still super comfortable. You can take your time browsing without feeling rushed or cramped.

Came here to buy some items and couldn’t find a cashier or sales associate. One person said he’ll find someone and disappeared for 20 min and never came back. Finally found another sales associate only to be informed the item is not available in store.

Don’t expect to actually buy items here.

Kimmie in fragrance took her time to help me to find a new scent. She was not transactional and took her time to help me shop. Another customer needed to make a quick purchase and she handled that. I appreciate that she took her time to help me find the right fragrance and introduced me to some brands I had never heard of. I am happy with my experience and purchase.
I recommend shopping there when you have time and or the desire to find something new and unique.

I also had a very unpleasant experience. I was looking for a dress and a lady who was in that area did not want me to see the dresses. I was looking around and looking at a dress but it was like she did not want us to be there. How awful. Maybe she did not see that we had money like other people who come there with money but it is to put other people down. It is not right. I was willing to pay for a civil wedding dress. I was looking around but the treatment was that they did not want me to touch the dresses much less try them on, I imagine, but I still did not find any that were worth it, but the customer service is very bad. The truth is that they are bad in that area. The place has a lot of pretty clothes of good quality but everything is very expensive $$$... Terrible customer service.....

Selection is kind of sparse for men's clothing. Ok spot for higher end clothing, but there are probably better stores in the rest of Stanford shopping center

Had a great time shopping at Bloomingdale's in Palo Alto today. Special thanks to Faith, who was so gracious and helpful when I was trying on clothes. I had asked for a different size for a white linen romper, and when none was available, Faith offered to bring me another cute dress to try on...and then she returned with 5 other blue/white dresses that were similar to another blue dress that I was trying on. I was really impressed with Faith's attention to detail. I absolutely loved the first dress she brought me -- I would have never picked it on my own. I bought it and thanks to her, discovered a new designer that I like. Thank you, Faith!

I came into the Stanford shopping center location a week ago hoping to sample some of the scents as I was looking to acquire one for myself. I had a rare free afternoon and hoped to find what I liked and walk home with something. However, I had quite a poor experience. First all the testing bottles were empty...every single one. I stood at the Creed boutique counter hopping for someone to help me, but no one did. Eventually, I sought someone out and thought I was about to be helped, but just as the sales associate was walking over to me something else caught her attention and she walked away. Disappointed and empty handed, I left the store. I still hope to acquire Creed fragrance but am not sure when I will have another opportunity to visit the store as my afternoons are rarely free. As a result I contacted customer support. I was in contact with several support team members and online stylists. None were able to help. Finally, a support supervisor got into contact with me, confirmed the stores name "BLOOMINGDALE'S STANFORD" and told me this issue would be sent to the store as the online store contacting site was not working. Days passed and still no response so I reached out to support and was in contact with another support supervisor. He said this issue would be sent again to this location and escalated. I was told I would hear back in a couple days. A week passed and nothing. I reached out again and for the final time was told this issue would be escalated to the store and I should hear back in 48-72 hours. It has been past this deadline and I have not heard back. This treatment from Bloomgindale's Stanford is unbelievable and unacceptable.
