For many years, I’ve been wanting a pair of gentle monster sunglasses. This was my one chance to finally get to experience the in store presence. Arriving there was a small line for they were limiting how many people were in the boutique. After a short wait, I was able to get in and they allowed you to try on all the pairs of sunglasses that you wanted. After taking a tour through the whole boutique, I chose the one pair that I was most attracted to.

Once you pick the pair of sunglasses, you have to go up to an associate and tell them what you want . They will then hand you a slip of paper where you will bring it to the counter. Once you’re at the counter, the amazing associates were very friendly and custom fitted the glasses to my face.

Gentle Monster is a South Korean upscale Glasses store, specializing in Asian styles and more artistic frames.

The store was decently busy when we visited, and the amount of frames is vast. Each store's concept is an immersive experience, with frames being placed on walls as well as artistic pieces being placed throughout the store, such as robots, automated water imagery, and other pieces spread.

The staff were present, they didn't really approach unless asked but they were cleaning pairs of glasses and were available if needed.

The frames are perfect for Asian faces. They matched pretty well for Asian styles as well, and were well worth coming to try on to see how they looked in person. The only downside is the price, as no piece was under $200, and some were close to $500.

Overall, Gentle Monster is a great place to shop for glasses that suit Asian faces, but may turn you away with its high prices.

The store was an art installation in itself. Julissa was AMAZING. They were so knowledgeable and were extremely helpful during checkout! They told us that the display changes regularly so check the website and make a list beforehand

Gentle Monster Soho was such a fun experience! The store is filled with cool exhibits that make shopping feel like walking through an art gallery. The creative displays are captivating and truly unique.

The sales associates were incredibly nice and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for stylish eyewear and an unforgettable shopping experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

i have been shopping here for years now, and always had great experiences! Sadly, they seem to have gotten new management and the store feels a little disorganized and unprofessional compared to what I’m used to 🙁 i don't really leave reviews, but its really disappointing to see such a decline in a place I used to love visiting when i came to new york

I had a pair of Gentle Monster sunglasses that I got from my trip to Korea this past summer that flew off a Citi e-Bike, so went with a replacement pair I had ordered online to get adjusted to my face. The staff was welcoming and kind to me, starting with the team members at the door, all the way to Naomi, who helped adjust my glasses and give them a clean. She was nice and helpful in making sure that all sides of the sunnies fit my head and face well. I'm not sure where the negative reviews came from, but it's clear the team has heard the feedback and is actively working on making GM a welcoming environment for folks to get a nice pair of glasses.
