I paid $5k for Pinarello Dogma frameset. The frame arrived with misplaced decals, overspray, and a bottom bracket area that needed to be reamed and faced. Decals are relatively easy to fix. I did this myself at my own expense. The overspray is unfortunate, but fine. For the bottom bracket area, R&A snipped back at me when I asked for help saying quite literally that I didnt spend enough to deserve this 5 min service---they would only do this if I were to built a custom bike through them---despite the fact that I had paid for a $5k frame. I paid to have the service done myself.

So, in my experience of buying dozens of high value bikes over the years, you can do better than RA. While they promise 'buying a bike should be a thrilling and enjoyable experience' the customer support I received was offputting--suggesting that my request to face a BB was 'out of the question' even when I live 20 mins away and literally would have take 5-10 mins in the RA stand.

Just take your money elsewhere and get better service and a more thankful seller.

In the photos you can see the comically bad decal and the bb overspray which requires reaming/facing.

My experience with R&A, specifically Philip for ordering and customizations, and Luis for assembly/wrenching questions, was nothing short of excellent. I contacted R&A essentially about making a custom order, mixing a frameset purchase with separate wheels, computer mounts, etc. I received a very quick response from Philip who provided multiple options, price comparisons, etc. Once I made my decisions and purchased, he kept me up-to-date on timelines, shipping updates, and all other balances/costs associated with assembly, packing and shipping. Everything arrived earlier than I had originally expected, and all arrived at my door expertly packed and mostly assembled. From there Luis took over, guiding me along on FaceTime calls to help mount the handlebars and headset spacers correctly, and ensure I was up-to-speed on my new Di2 groupset.

It is a beautiful machine and I will definitely revisit R&A for any of my needs going forward. Highly recommend!

I came in to the shop today to look at some saddles and shoes and was immediately helped by Felix. After explaining the issues with my current saddle, he offered extensive reasons for my discomfort and possible solutions, giving me no pressure on selling me something I may not exactly need.

When we got to shoes, he took a very detailed approach on helping me hone in what pair would be best for me. We measured my foot size, took note of certain anatomical differences beyond foot length, and he had me walk around the store to understand certain foot issues that I may have. He took several trips to the storage room to give me more and more options to try and gave me a lot of time and patience in making sure I'm 100% certain of my purchase.

They also have one of the most extensive selection of parts and accessories and Felix was very knowledgable on everything that is sold in the shop.

I will definitely be coming back whether it's for a bike fitting or any parts I need.

R&A Cycles is the best choice for those who want to acquire the most modern on the road bike’s market.
So far, I have made three purchases and the experience was incredible! Before finalizing each acquisition, I asked the R&A team many (many!!!!) questions and was always answered right back.
I thank everyone for their attention, especially Albert, who always responded my emails (there were many, many emails, regarding each separated item that I've purchased, like wheels and so on).
All the products arrived at my house impeccably (and I live outside USA), especially the Road bike, which I purchased complete;
The care taken when packaging each item was very clear, so that there would be no setbacks, and the result was excellent!
Finally, thank you R&A, for making my dream of having a quality and exclusive product come true!

Phil is one of a kind - super welcoming and knowledgeable. As a newbie in the bike world, Phil helped me figure out the best fit for my bike and gear based on my body, and shared lots of advice with me. I visited 4 bike shops in Brooklyn this weekend, and it was the best service and most valuable visit I had! Thank you!

So, I am new to the higher tiers of cycling. A place like R&A, known for being a mecca to the most hardcore and demanding of cyclists, was intimidating to a middle aged, overweight, novice rider like myself. With lots of questions and things to educate myself on I figured it just isn't the shop for me. Being new to NYC, I would walk past sometimes and just drool at the bicycles that surely cost 10's of thousands of dollars. I finally buy the first really nice bike of my life, which further motivates me to go inside and see what's what (what I can buy).

Not only was it pretty cool to be in such an amazing place with so much eye candy, but the salespeople were super helpful, and informative/educational to me, a curious newbie nerd with a million questions which is probably my number one priority in these sorts of shops.

That being said, I was particularly impressed with two things.

1) I had just purchased a very expensive bike direct from the factory. R&A had no big ticket sale to eye while working with me. In fact, now that I think about I had stopped in once before making my purchase. (they didn't carry the brand I ended up with) and even though I wasn't set to drop a lot of money on a top class bike. I was treated warmly, patiently and truly felt like a valued customer. (unlike some other shops around the neighborhood!!)

2) I inquired a bit about a bicycle fitting, as I like to put in significant miles. Much to my surprise, rather than grabbing at my money and putting me into the calendar. They asked for how long I had my bike, and quickly said that I needed to put more miles on the bike so I can have more feedback and make my fit more effective. I thought this was another really honorable perspective to take.

And lastly today, what made me write this review, I had a Garmin light and the mount failed (RIP Light) and Garmin Support wanted a proof of purchase. I sent an email to R&A Customer support to ask for a copy of the invoice on Friday. Didn't hear back (im impatient!) and called but got a busy signal and thought to myself well, will I be important enough to them to reply in a timely manner and sure enough this morning, I was emailed what I needed, and even got another separate email personally reaching out to tell me that it was addressed and if I needed anything else to just holler.

I am here to say that R&A is amazing. Both in product selection and customer service. They do have a bit of a reputation it seems for being "snobbish" and only catering to the elite if you believe what you hear. I assure you I am very far from elite (LOL at the thought) and they've always treated me very well. I've worked most of my career in luxury hospitality and truly value and appreciate quality service as the foundation of long term relationships and I am an R&A guy now.

Now that I am not scared of carbon fiber, I can guarantee my next bike, and all the smaller purchases in between, will be from R&A
